Dear Parish Family:
We are writing for two reasons.
First, we are grateful for your flexibility and continued support through kind emails, monetary donations, and prayers during the Pandemic. We are all weary, and we must continue to love each other and lean on those “Everlasting Arms” of our Savior.
Second, last summer, Ron and Ola Manley made a leadership gift for the establishment/redesign of a new/enhanced memorial garden at St. Mark’s.
In conjunction with this gift, the Vestry decided that it would be an excellent time to take up a Campus Master Plan to develop a longer-range vision for our Campus. We collected various conversations from previous years and brainstormed ideas and submitted them to our planner. Some highlights of our goals were:
- a redeveloped Memorial Garden
- a columbarium
- flexible outdoor worship space
- connecting the Ministry/Youth Center with our historic sanctuary
- improved accessibility around our church plant
- increased and better traffic flow
- outdoor gathering areas
This list is but a highlight of our inputs, and you can view the phased plan by scrolling down and clicking on the link.
We want your feedback! Please review the plan and submit your comments using the google form that you'll find below. Please provide your feedback by July 15th. We are very excited about the direction of this plan and will be proceeding very cautiously, given the Pandemic and our costly (and needed) investments in our ceiling project.
We plan to solicit quotes for phase I in August, and we would love to have this first phase completed by the end of 2020. We view phases II-IV as guides over the next 3-5 years, depending upon the Holy Spirit’s direction.
You may visit our website to review the plan and access the form, too. Drag your cursor to the “contact” header on the right and see the drop-down “Campus Master Plan.”
We are SO very excited for your input and tapping into your imagination for our Campus.
With Love and Gratitude -
Willis Logan, Rector Mike Parish, Senior Warden Patti Suite, Associate Warden
