About Sunday School
Adult Sunday School
A class from 9:15-10:15 welcomes all adults, parishioners and visitors alike. The class meets in the Ministry Center, located on the lower campus, at the corner of Herndon and Roanoke Streets, adjacent to the Youth Center. Beginning with coffee and light refreshment, the group conducts informal lessons chosen and designed by the attendees, varying from Bible study to book study to open discussions.
Come occasionally, come regularly, just listen, or actively participate, as you feel comfortable doing. Members of the class, including Fr. Craig, who feel so Called take turns teaching lessons or units. Those who do not feel Called to facilitate or teach may participate without fear of pressure. Regular members of the class report that the opportunity for open discussion in an uncritical, informal setting provides them with the greatest opportunity to grow spiritually.
Bible Study and Book Study
St. Mark's offers occasional opportunities in addition to the regular Sunday class to delve more deeply into Bible study and exploration of our Christian faith through in-depth reading and discussion of spiritual topics and theological writing. Please check The Good News Letter and Pews News for a schedule of special studies.
